Hello.

A woman with long brown hair smiling outdoors, with water and greenery blurred in the background.

I am a mental health therapist in Madison, Wisconsin. I use mindfulness and somatic approaches thinking outside the box from traditional psychotherapy. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, and perinatal mental health.

Treatment Approaches

My therapeutic approaches include a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, systemic, and somatic mindfulness techniques.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) aids individuals in examining their inner thought patterns and self talk. These thought patterns have an impact on emotions and behavior. CBT can be helpful in recognizing and changing thoughts to create a happier and more fulfilled life.

Somatic mindfulness therapy covers a broad range of reflection, intentional awareness, movement, and breath work. As a certified yoga instructor, I integrate gentle movements and meditation as a way to process through previous experiences and teach coping strategies.

Systemic approaches offer a holistic lens in the therapy room assessing many parts of a persons life and creating balance within these parts. Previous family relationships, identities, spirituality, current relationships, and culture are all parts of a person’s connectedness with their world.
